Edit & repair

Editing a PDF covers annotations (highlight, underline, strike), adding text and images, filling and creating forms, signing, and repairing damaged files. Edit PDF Text replaces words in place; Edit PDF overlays new content; Repair PDF rebuilds broken files. All processed in your browser.

PDF editing splits into two honest categories: adding new content on top of pages (annotations, stamps, signatures, form fills) and changing the existing text layer (find-and-replace, repairs). Both are supported here, with the limits stated clearly.

Every edit runs locally — the document never leaves your browser — and you always download a new file, never a modified original.

How these tools work together

Annotate and add content

Annotate PDF highlights, underlines and strikes through the actual text on the pages you choose — the text layer stays intact and selectable. Add Text to PDF stamps text on any page; Edit PDF adds text, boxes, drawings and images. PDF Overlay stamps one PDF onto another.

These are additive edits: they place new content on top of the original pages, which is the technically reliable way to add to a PDF in a browser.

Edit existing text

Edit PDF Text finds and replaces text in place: matched words are covered with the page background and the replacement is drawn in the same position, so the edited page looks clean and unchanged pages stay fully vector. A visual click-to-edit mode lets you click any word on a preview and replace it directly.

Output is validated by re-extracting the text — if the replacement cannot be confirmed, the tool says so instead of claiming success.

Forms and signatures

Fill PDF Forms fills interactive fields; Create Fillable Form builds a form from a simple text description; Fill Form from CSV generates one filled PDF per data row; Flatten PDF Forms makes fields permanent. Sign PDF draws your signature and places it on any page.

Export Form Data extracts filled values back to CSV, closing the loop for form processing workflows.

Repair

Repair PDF rebuilds damaged PDFs on a best-effort basis — files that fail to open in some readers can often be reconstructed well enough to recover the content. It is honest about being best-effort: badly corrupted files may not be fully recoverable.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the text that is already in my PDF?

Yes — Edit PDF Text replaces words in place, with a visual click-to-edit mode. The replacement is drawn over the covered original so the page looks clean.

Is annotation different from redaction?

Yes. Annotations are visible marks that keep the text layer intact. Redaction removes the text. Use Annotate PDF to mark up, Redact PDF to permanently remove.

Do edits modify my original file?

No. You always download a new file. Your original is never touched and nothing is uploaded.
