Limitations
Conversion tools preserve what the source format can represent. Scanned PDFs have no text layer until OCR runs. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Corrupted or unusual files may fail — that is a limitation of the format, not a missing feature.
A format being listed here means a live tool accepts it as input or produces it as output. If a format is not listed, the tools do not support it — we do not advertise formats that are not implemented.
