Quick answers

What does this tool do?
Convert pages to A4, Letter or Legal. Resize every page to a standard paper size — A4, Letter or Legal, in portrait or landscape — while scaling the content to fit. Great for standardizing mixed documents..
Is it free?
Yes — free and unlimited, with no account required and no watermark on the result.
What files are supported?
PDF files, up to 100 MB each.
Where is my file processed?
Entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded to a server.
What are the limitations?
Content is scaled to fit proportionally — it is centered on the page rather than resized to fill edge to edge.
What happens if processing fails?
You get a clear message explaining what went wrong and how to fix it (try another file, check the format, or start over). Your original file is never touched.

Frequently asked questions

No — content is scaled to fit the new page size, never cut off.

Common problems and fixes

  • The download button does not do anything

Why: some browsers block programmatic downloads after inactivity, or the disk is full.

Fix: allow downloads for this site in the browser settings, then process again — the job itself is instant for small files.

  • Pages end up in the wrong order

Why: the selection order differed from the thumbnail order shown on screen.

Fix: re-check the page order in the preview list before running the job; the tool applies exactly what is shown.

  • The output file will not open in my viewer

Why: the download was interrupted, or the viewer is very old.

Fix: download again and check the file size matches; if it persists, try a different PDF viewer.

Who uses Change Page Size?

  • Admin and HR staff — combining scans, forms and letters into one packet — up to 1 file of 100 MB each per job.
  • Anyone sharing part of a document — extracting just the pages someone asked for instead of sending the whole file.
  • People fixing scans — rotating upside-down or sideways pages before the file goes out to a client.
